Bermuda Landscape has been awarded the Broward County Convention Center’s highly publicized $900m expansion project. Celebrating 30+ years creating awarding winning landscapes for city landmarks, communities, HOAs, resorts, commercial and retail centers; Bermuda Landscape has created award winning landscape installations throughout the Caribbean and Florida.

The project scope adds more than 525,000 square feet of meeting space to the convention center plus an 800-room, four-diamond Omni Hotel on the property. The Broward County Convention Center rests along the Intracoastal and serves as the gateway to the Port of Fort Lauderdale welcoming millions of tourists yearly and anticipated to contribute $200m yearly to the local economy.

The County has assembled a team of experts to work on the project including Matthews Southwest, the Project Developer; Balfour Beatty, General Contractor and Architects Fentress, Stantec and DeSantis, along with numerous consultants and specialists. Demolition of the Portside Center and site preparation will continue over the summer with an opening of the expanded Convention Center and Headquarters Hotel anticipated for 2023.
